I posted a thread a while back asking about scopes because I was thinking about getting a different one for my muzzleloader. I kinda got sidetracked on that when I got into the homebrew trail camera thing. A Leupold VX-I was one of the ones I was considering at the time. I didn't want to put a lot of money in one because I usually just use my muzzleloader on the two weekends of the season. I noticed Cabela's had them on sale for $50 off and you got free shipping. Also, they just happened to send me a $25 off a $150 order coupon last week. So I bit the bullet. I got a 3-9x40 for like $150. Don't guess that was to bad a deal.

to me I want my best scope on whatever I am hunting with the two weeks before Thanksgiving here at home,,last year I had a near 600$$ scope on a 90$$ MZL and it worked out nicely,,at 2PM on the 4th day straight hunting daylight to dark,,saw probably 100 deer and killed the one I was after,,never was in a spot I could see 75 yards either,,

this year I have off 1st week MZL AND 1st week big gun,,starting to get fired up..
