Finally caught my first mess of Crappie (Reelfoot Lake)

We didn't load the boat but it will be plenty for a couple of meals. 8 crappie several over 12 inches and 3 yellow bass.

Nah just focused on Crappie. Alll of the females were still full of eggs too. I thought it was a bit late for that.

I was just wondering if you might have been able to catch more bream than crappie at this time of year. Then I realized, Ruger has more or less destroyed the bluegill fishery at Reelfoot. Might still be some decent bream fishing in a few gar holes (but no crappie).
