gonna run the 338 250 gr Sierra Match King in Lapua brass with Fed 215 primers and 89 grs H1000,,pretty mild load that shoots lights out in the Savage rifle at 2850 fps,,plenty of room to shoot in the heat even with a hot rifle and not run into problems,,
just shot it at 1,000 yards in a pretty good breeze and nasty mirage,from a 300 zero it only takes 7 mils to get there and in these conditions only took 1.6 mils windage,,
from what I have seen inside of a mile the 300 has no advantage over the 250,and the 250 is more accurate and takes less adjustments ,,
I think I will keep all my brass loaded with this combo,,
