I could be wrong but I still think that UA gets in over SMU

Not sure how 1-4 will pan out, but I'm seeing other brackets put UGA at 2. They beat the #2 team in the nation away from home twice, and both of their losses were on the road to at-the-time top-10 and current top-25 teams on the road.

The rest of what you have is pretty close to what I would predict, but who knows with this committee?

Looks about right to me, SMU and Indiana will get in having not beat a single ranked opponent. SMU lost to the only two medicore ranked teams they played in Clemson and BYU, Indiana got drilled by The one they played - Ohio State. Boise State beat the same ranked team twice in the powerhouse of UNLV so that will earn them a BYE. I don't see this being like basketball as this is a physical sport and the guys up front on both sides of the ball will come into play. There are teams sitting at home that would absolutely crush SMU , Boise, Clemson, Arizona State, Indiana (just to name a few)but they simply played tougher schedules and took more losses. Hopefully the Vols get in a good bracket, Go Vols!!!!!

I think the way SMU fought back will keep them in the playoffs. I don't think Clemson or SMU is that good but I was wrong about Penn State. It seems like all the talking heads are campaigning for SMU.

This article predicts bama in and SMU out.
I'm not saying SMU should be in, but if they are left out and a 3 loss alabama team gets in after the committee said losing a CG won't hurt you the ACC is going to go berserk. Especially after the FSU/alabama controversy last year.

Personally, due to what happened last year, I think the committee will put SMU in, and when they get thrashed the committee will have justification for future decisions.

I really like these teams from other conferences have the chance to play in the playoffs. Will they flop or perform is anyone's guess, and if they do either doesn't justify whether they should or shouldn't be in. This is simply a good thing for football. I know the biased in the sec and big ten will gloat if they win and make excuses if they lose, but let them play.

How will Bama be inserted?
Oh, here they are

If SMU gets in, strength of schedule means NOTHING!!
They already told everyone it means nothing when they had SMU ranked #8 less than 12 hours ago.

It's hard to argue SOS with bama lost to multiple bad teams, and has more losses overall in less games played...if two teams finish with the same record, you can go to SOS.

Bama played a better schedule, and lost mutiple more regular season games then SMU.. you don't get the privilege of losing 2 or 3 more games than someone cause your schedule was harder, IMO its Never been that way.

Tennessee has a Better SOS than Texas, Ohio state or Noter Dame. Why isn't tennessee a 6 seed?

The question is how much does SoS count? There is way too much subjectivity involved. If these teams lose badly then they are just warm up games for the best teams.
I can see that the parody in college basketball playoffs doesn't translate equally to college football, but I still like the "lesser" teams having their chance to play.

If SMU gets in, strength of schedule means NOTHING'S!!
Totally agree , same can be said for Indiana, Clemson ,Boise State, Arizona State and others that are getting in. Teams need to leave for the Big 12 , ACC ,Mountain West, play independent and such. Play bad opponents and get rewarded. Lol, hopefully the Vols get one of the " everyone deserves a seat at the table" teams. Is what it is but some of these teams would be hard pressed to go 6-6 in the SEC. Vols are in, all that matters! 😂

I like this except I think Penn State will fall below Ohio State. OSU won at Penn State, lost by one-point at Oregon, and have a win over Indiana. Penn State's one big win is at home over Illinois.
