Fewer coyotes?

The last 2 years or so I've absolutely gotten tons of coyote pics. Since about last August/September though the numbers are way, way down. Do yotes migrate? Disease? Ma'Nature doing a little population correction?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining one bit just curious as to what others are seeing.

I'm still getting plenty of pictures of them on my cameras, as I did all through last fall.

I often witness these types of dramatic but short-term swings in coyote populations. I suspect it is an over-population followed by disease die-off situation. Any one trend usually doesn't last for more than a year or two.

not at our farms all time high of killing them and seeing them this season.

Maybe about 3-4 years ago I did get right many photos with pups...2-3 at a time. The coats of young and old alike looked full and healthy as can be. Last year though some of them looked real thin and mangy...I just chalked it up to a lighter summer coat or something but maybe not?

At any rate, glad to maybe see a little dip in population.

I think sporadic decreases in local areas may be due to parvovirus infection wiping out an area for awhile....

Darned yote owners don't get their pups immunized..

been a durn good coyote season for us. no shortage here

nature's way of thinning the population, when it starts to get to large. I've seen it in my area a couple years back.
