From my place here at home... Ive been working on this spring project. Its is now going at 400 gallons per day. I just dug out this small spot for it to go into by hand. Im planning on getting a mini excavator in there this winter to make it into a good size water hole. Lots of crawdads and salamanders in the spring.

This is a Brandywine Crabapple that is doing pretty well this year. It is a very vigorous and unruly tree that is hard to train so I just let it do what it wanted.

A few sunflowers blooming that the deer didnt nip off.

This is a shot of a strip of millet and buckwheat I put in. The deer are absolutely hammering this buckwheat. They let it get up and flower and are now just eating it down. I suspect due to all of my clover fields being basically dried up.

And on a sadder note, this is my best clover field. I havent seen it go dormant due to heat and drought in the 5 years its been here but it is in terrible shape now. :(

Very nice steven.....this has been a hard june/july start....but when the rains come back the clover will bounce back quickly. I like what you have done there.

Very nice. I like your idea with the spring. I think I have found one in a place we logged and thinking about making a waterhole out of it. Conditions like we are going through now motivate me even more to do it.
