Awesome fish, looks like fun. Was it recently?
The musky was about 2 months ago or so the striper was back in july. we were wade fishing the caney and got 16 stripers in 4 hours all but one was over 20lbs. it was a freak night. never seen anything like it. i have fished them for a few years and that night was just crazy.

Its pretty wild to be in knee deep water with 30 and 40 pound striper busting top water all around you. actually a little scary

I do a lot of wading for rockfish also and your right, it's a little freaky! My best hole puts me waist deep and sometimes the "followers" will actually circle around me. Gives me the heevie jeevies a little bit! Lol

Thanks man, bit of a drive but I might be able to manage. I'll keep it mind when the weather warms.

Cool the cold weather is an awesome time to go too.

I catch a few of these things in the summer as well and I would guess 25-30 pound range. I have found that a set of scales will humble a fisherman. This one bottomed out a set of 40 lb scales.

I remember this one catchdawg. Didn't you catch this one pretty early in the summer?? Awesome fish. To me, anything over 25 is outstanding.

yeah id say 23-25, great fish i love gettin on them, beware if you get a set of scales your buddies wont like you fishin with them, cause all them 30-40 pounders they were catchin start turnin to 15-20 pounders, now muskie on the other hand is somethin ive never had the chance to catch its definitely in my top five of a new species i want to catch

Yeah, first big rockfish I caught I guessed 25, it weighed 17 on the scale. Then I got one that I guessed 35...was only 28. Finally I got my over 40....so I thought...it went 34 on the scale. It was freakin massive, I can't imagine a 40-60 pounder!
