Ok, I got soil report back and it is calling for 120# N and 40# K2O per acre. How do I go about fertilizing? I know that 13-13-13 is equal in N, P2O5, and K2O but does that mean the bag has 13% of each? So a 50# bag of 13-13-13 would have 6.5 #'s of each element? Not sure what the # value denotes... Also have one are that just calls for 120# N per acre and nothing else. None of my soil is calling for P2O5 for anything I plant.
 
Or call your local coop and speak with the person who is over the fertilizing dept and tell them what your soil same came back.. That's what I did and he recommended 12-24-24 and 200lbs for my 2.5 acre plot.

x2 on supporting the local coop. I work in the agronomy department at Tennessee Farmers in LaVergne. I can get you an answer if you want I was just trying to give you a tool to do it on your own. I personally deal with all the wildlife/food plot seed sales. If you have any questions let me know.
 
The local co op took my soil analysis report and what I am planting and mixed my fertilizer accordingly. Bought a buggy full and had it spread in an hour. Ill never touch a fertilizer bag again!

Sounds good if I was planting just one thing that needed the same fertilizer but with planting corn, beans, and sorghum, there would be a lot of waste if all was mixed the same.
