Got all my stands in today. I can't wait to get them out.

Re: Feels like Christmas

Looks like somebody has been browsing the sportsmans guide catalog. I've got the same hang on. Let me know if those climbing sticks are any good they always seem to be going on sale I'd like to try them out.

Re: Feels like Christmas

Well so far from the original unpackaging of the steps I have noticed that the welds are about some of the ugliest things I've seen, BUT they appear to have good penetration and should be very strong. On one section, there is a small piece of paint that has already chipped off. They don't pack too well but for my application they'll work just fine. They're gonna be hung in one spot for the season unless a move is necessary. So the packing problem isn't a big deal. These are gonna be virtually "hang and forget" stands on my lease just so I don't have to carry one of my climbers for every hunt. For the money, I like them. Next year, I'll get a set of lone wolfs to use for twisted and knotty trees. But like I said so far I'm impressed for the sticks being only $35 for 20' sticks. I won't get to use them until next weekend. I'll be hanging a set next Saturday or Sunday and then the rest will be hung in two to three weeks.
