I know its only yhe third day, but i havent got a shot off uet. Ive been so pumped for season, and thus far Ive seen a total of 4 does. A group of three busted me saturday evening. And busted again about 30 minutes ago..... Im ready to let this arrow go!!!
 
Been there, done that.

When the time comes, let it come, don't rush your shot and take one you will regret later.

Keep at it and it will work out. I had two at ten yards but could shoot because i bolted my seat done in the box blind and would have either shot the wall or shattered a limb on the frame of the window. I am still upset because it was the first deer i have ever seen and it was opening day lol. I am on a mission to get both of them. Find the ones that keep busting you and get them. Dont worry it is going to happen and it will pay off for you.

A friend kept getting busted by this doe. He went in one morning, after many she runt, climbed his stand and put a shirt on it. Then went across from it and climb up another tree. She came out stomping at the shirt, lets just say it was lights out.

I have only gotten in the woods once, and I was jsut thankful for the opportunity. I used to be so driven about the kill that it made it hard for me to "see the trees for the forest." Now, for me hunting is about the experience and time in God's creation, the kill is just a bonus. When I go a while without killing a deer it isn't nearly as hard for me anymore. I hope that it turns around for you soon
 
wow....I haven't fire a shot the past two seasons and unless a "wall worthy" deer comes by I won't again this season.....heck I may never kill another deer...lol.

But, I guess I have been where you are right now...

be patient.....

if you're this tore up after three days, I'd hate to see you without a shot at mid-season...lol.

just enjoy the hunt, if you can.
 
Lol. I most definately enjoy every opportunity to hunt. Im greatful to have theability to get out in the woods and take in Gods creation. Ive just been so ready to shoot at another deer wiyh my bow. Missed the last shot last uear, i took to practicing like crazy for thos year. Good luck and thanks fellas!!
 
You might not get a shot all year. It happens to the best of them some times.Relax and just enjoy that you are blessed and able to get up and go.
 
Typical of the way things go around here. I have yet to see a deer from the stand, but that is not uncommon for the first couple of weeks of the season. I usually take a week off around the 10th, gonna put it off this the last week of the month this year I think.
 
At least you've see deer & sounds like you've also had more than one sit. I've only gotten to go opening morning with nothing seen. You'll connect, the season isn't even a week old.
