I'm thinking about getting another 6.5 creedmoor. It's between the savage fcp-5r with 24" barrel and a Tikka lite 6.5.
Got a buddy that has the tikka and he loves it. Anyone familiar with the savage fcp line that can share pros & cons?

It's gonna be 50-50 target shooting and hunt gun. Not concerned about weight.

I can't comment on the Savage but could not be happier with my Tikka CTR in 6.5. It shoots awesome and I have only ever shot factory ammo in it. The other plus is that it should multiple brands of factory ammo well. Here are two different groups out of mine using cheap Hornady Black ammo. The top target is 3 shots and the other target is 4 shots.

Cabelas has the Savage 12fv with varmint barrel on sale for $359. After $100 rebate makes it $259. I bought one and it shoots lights out with factory ammo. After season I'm gonna work up some loads.
