Anyone seeing any rutting activity? Haven't deer hunted in a few years and I think I'm going to change that in the morning.
 
Saw a few young bucks bumping does last week but nothing serious yet. Our rut always seems to be a week or two later than other parts of the state. Deer activity was nonexistent this weekend. Went from seeing around 15 deer per hunt to nothing in days.

I hunt in Hardeman County around Hickory Valley. The Rut so far has been anything but aggressive. Seeing quite a few does but very few bucks. Strange for this time of year. It may be the fact we have so many does the bucks don't need to chase.
 
Rut finally kicked in hard this week. Lots of chasing, seen several good bucks this week. Basically same timing that i noticed last year.
