Fawn Question

I have several pictures on my trail cams of a group of 4 does. Just recently I had 2 bucks show up and a small 6 maybe an by the time season gets here, and a doe. I knew these 4 does were on my property and I remember some of them looking pregnant but i have not seen one fawn on my cams. I know there are bucks in the area and I know there are does in the area, but no fawns????

For reference all the land in the area is thick mixed with hardwoods. No ag crops that I know of in the area. I figure the fawn recruitment may be low for this reason.

what I need to know is, is it possible that fawns were dropped, and killed by disease, and coyotes?

I would not worry about a lack of fawn pictures at summer baited camera sites. Fawn recruitment numbers from baited camera sites are notoriously low.

Your best fawn recruitment numbers will come from hunter sightings during bow season (when the difference between fawns and adult does is greatest), or from cameras pointed into feeding areas (food plots).

In my area, I have never seen so many twins and triplets. I believe my deer herd doubled over the spring. Or is that dear heard?

Just had a fawn cross the backyard 3 minutes after I was out there shooting my bow

I've seen more fawns that ever in the last couple weeks. Out of 30+ deer I saw last week, at least a third of them were fawns.

My backyard observations and camera pics are showing 2 sets of triplets, 4 sets of twins, and multiple single fawns. I just found a 2 week old fawn dead in my front yard last week. I have fawns everywhere.
