Does anyone else have a favorite day of the year.Mine is Christmas day.I have killed 4 Mature bucks on Christmas day over the years out of the same tree.So I pretty much go to that tree regardless of the weather on Christmas day

November 7 is my favorite day. I try to be in the woods on that day. I've only killed one buck on that day but it was my best.

My wife never says anything about when I choose to go hunting except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. That being said if I had to pick a day that I would like to hunt it would be Thanksgiving. There's just to much stuff to get in on those days with family dinners. Just seems like the most traditional day to be in the woods for me.

Thanksgiving, if nothing moves at least there's some good eating to be had.
Growing up, Thanksgiving was always my favorite. Spending time with family hunting, eating, and storytelling. Brings back some great memories. Now, with a 6 yr old and a 10 year old, the Saturday of Juvenile is my favorite.

I've did well on Thanksgiving day in the past but now had been extremely blessed on the first week of muzzleloader .

November 4th out of state, November 15th in east TN
Muzzleloader season, cannot pick a single day. Usually that second week of November is just a magic time to be in the stand though.

Growing up it was always thanksgiving morning. Dad and I would go to the hunting club and hunt in the morning and be home for dinner. But now if I had to pick a single day that is the most fun Weirdly it would be the open day of squirrel season. Not sure why but I have a blast that morning.

I can't pick a day but I like the first two weeks of rifle for getting a mature buck.

Opening day of Rifle season. That'll always be the True beginning of deer season to me and the most exciting too. I tend to see bucks then but usually see the biggest bucks around mid December. By then though the total deer sightings have dropped off so it's not as much fun.
The next day I can get in the woods. As far as a favorite hunting date, I do not have one.

No particular date because I can't predict the weather. What's great one year may not be too good the following because of warmer temperatures that may dictate more nocturnal movement. Some time frame between Thanksgiving and the first or second week of December usually has weather that is conducive to day time movement during the rut. If weather co-operates, the tail end of the first week of muzzleloader has been productive in buck sightings as well.
