What's your fav. Crank bait... and why?

Mine is a KVD square bill 1.5 in bluegill color. Its pretty hot on the Hill

I use em on muddy ledges up in the creeks.

I don't usually fish with crankbaits, but when I do, I prefer a strike king bitsy minnow. Will catch anything from bluegills to rock bass and largemouth and smallmouth bass.

When trolling I use a shad rap

I also like a crawfish colored crankbait, especially when using the Rebel Wee R. Maybe an older bait, but they still catch the heck out of fish. :)

Depends on how deep I am fishing and what time of year.I can't fish just one. :D

Pre spawn= lipless
Spawn= square bill
post spawn= strike king 5xd and square bill
summertime= strike king 6xd
fall= lipless
winter= spro mcstick jerkbait

I like Bandits in 300 series. X rap shad, red eye shads, square bills, and 5 and 6xd's. The fish usually tell me what color I need to throw.

Homemade balsa cranks like Frank's Carolina Killer.
Good one, as well as the little peteys and Mimics. However a Shad rap is likely the best shallow water crankbait ever designed!

Agreed. The Shallow Shad Rap is my go to bait for the shallow water fall walleye bite.
