Subsonic CCI 40 gr hollow point in one gun and CCI Velocitor 40 gr hollow point in another. The Velocitor is overkill but that gun shot it better than the other stuff I tried.

I have a Neal Waltz bullet profiling die set that I have used to hollow point some SK Standard+ and it is amazingly accurate out of my Remington 541S. Can't wait to shoot a squirrel in the eye with it Made 2 versions of the Eley style flat point as well.....

I use jacketed hp mostly for hunting. I would love to find a round that does damage like a ballistic tip center fire round.

CCI makes some segmented HP rounds that may give more damage, but may never give same results without the velocities of CF.

I wouldn't expect the same results as CF. I'm just thinking that when I shoot a squirrel (always head shots) I would like to have a little more "damage." Should I look to a lower velocity round? I use high velocity stuff mostly. They usually go in one ear and out the other with no significant expansion, or so the exit hole says.

Try these Dan, Eley high velocity HP, my CZ 452 really likes them and as you can see they do pretty good job on the head. But any bullet for head shots there all pretty much dead.

yeah that would be nice for me since the wife has annissue with loud noises since her stroke. i cant shoot anywhere around the house while she is there.

I might have missed it but, I love Remington vipers, they are the semi wad cutters or the Elmer Keith bullets of the .22cal world. I think they hit harder than the round nose and cause a lil less damage. I really like em, they shoot fine in my CZ guns but what doesn't?
