what brand of 22 long do you like?
havent bought any in a long time

I like CCI. I've found that indiviual 22 guns seem to be very picky about ammo.Some will shoot the cheap stuff. The Ruger 10/22 seems to like nothing but the best. I would suggest buying several small boxes of good ammo and doing some shooting before going out buying Bricks of ammo.

Ok, i'm cheap...i go with the ($13 a box a walmart) 550 Remington Hollowpoint golden bullet box. I can't find a reason to switch. Cheap and I can shoot a squirrel no problem with them with my Ruger 10/22....

I have a rem. 597 and love it with some federal shells.

I must've gotten lucky because my rifle shoots the CCIs and bulk pack Remington and Federal stuff about the same. The point of impact changes a bit between the brands but accuracy remains the same.
