Got 3 in the fridge ready to smoke tomorrow.

Is it necessary to seal/close the ends with the bacon? Can the sausage be exposed?

dont worry about not being covered,you could put a small peice of foil over it to keep it from over cooking ,i doubt you would have any problems even without the foil,mike243

It is not necessary in my opinion. Heck....you don't even have to use bacon if you do not want to. May look better in the end.....but it will still taste the same....scrumptious. Good luck and post some pics.
