I'm going to make some room for more planting ( just like I do every year, lol) What's the quickest producer out there, crabapple, persimmon, what do you think?

I like pears, probably have 20 that are 8 yrs old and they had a good number of blooms before frost got them, I have about 40 apple, 6 crabs and about 400 hundred persimmon. Maybe this year I will get some fruit.

My common persimmon took 9 years to begin producing and the crabapples took 3 years. Plan long term because it will be here before you know it. My 3 year old pears don't produce yet but I like them already because they are very healthy and seem to be the easiest to grow.

Theres to many variables to really give a definitive answer. For me, quickest production is on several varieties of pears and crabapples on semi dwarf rootstock. Would likely be quicker with dwarf but thats not to good from a wildlife planting perspective. It just takes time.
