I plan on hunting a cut soy bean field where I have seen a small flock using consistently. My plan is to mimic a small flock with about 4-6 decoys. Would a jake in strut decoy spook birds?

I wouldn't use it, but that is just me. I would rather find out where they roost, scatter them at day light, and then call them back up as they relate group.

dont use dekes just spot and stalk and setup ahead of their travel and ambush. No need for decoys in the fall, it's pretty easy to sneak or even call them in sometimes. Just keep in mind it's easy to accidentally drop 2 in 1 shot, just know the bag limit

I agree with Cat. No dekes in the fall, they are easy to bushwhack this time of year.
lol yup, easy
