I went on a draw hunt there a few years ago. There are some dandys in there. I went and scouted and got ATE UP with seed ticks. It was a miserable week or so following the scout. I think this year it may be open without a draw? I'm sure others can chime in.

I hunt it quite a bit... Get away from the parking sites. Walk deep in the woods. Again walk deep into the woods. A lot of deer and some brutes in there. Brother in law killed a big 9 year before last. I missed a big 8 last year. Enjoy it and good luck.

I've seen multiple bucks in the 150+ range and all kinds of 120's-130's during the hunt—the problem is getting them to stop, as the chasing phase typically goes on during that hunt. The key to FCF is getting waaaaaay back from the parking areas—like 1 1/2-2 miles back in. You can kill deer up there within sound of the roads, but to get a once in a lifetime deer requires more effort and more walking.

My whole family got hit with ticks there, two years ago, on a summer, trip in a cabin. Each family member had four or five ticks. Be safe, it's cool now but I wouldn't risk it until the ground was frozen.
