Has anyone ever hunted Fall Creek Falls or around that area? My family and I were in the area last summer and it was beautiful! Then I found out they have a hunt there and was thinking about trying it out this year and wanted to know what I was getting myself in to. Thanks for any help!
 
I hunted a quota hunt there one year. Got EAT up with seed ticks. There are some BIG deer killed there every year. I think now it is open certain dates to the public and I believe it is bow only. I could be wrong.
 
I have heard there were some big ones in there! Anyone here killed some nice ones in there? Hows the terrain?
 
Beautiful place to hunt. I have property not far from there. If Hunter0925 or jdbintn will chime in they've been there. I have, but it's been many moons ago.
 
It is archery only, it's open about 10 days in November and 3 days in December. Best luck I have had is getting in the hard to get to spots and hunting midweek days. good chance to get a good buck with a bow.
 
I have hunted the open bow hunt and saw some decent deer. There are some good, and I mean good for anywhere, bucks there. They did get hit pretty hard with ehd last year but there are still plenty of deer there. The terrain can be anything from flat to big steep ridges. Oaks are common everywhere there so hunting terrain can be key. The good thing about it is that the deer are bonus deer and you have a legitimate chance of seeing a buck over 130.

My experience too. Hunted it season before last. Saw more people than deer.
