Faking injuries

Its a shift teams will have to adjust to. You cant be slow on defense and then when you have the ball run fast tempo. Its another adjustment all of college football will have to make. School, team, ncaa, refs. Im sure before next season there will be rules made for penalties.

I'm all for this. I'm tired of it. (yes I fully acknowledge Ole Miss is a pathetic offender).

Do you think it would be beneficial to give each team one more timeout per half? The game is much faster than it used to be, and there's times when those big old linemen just need to catch their breath.

It's about time as the fakes have gotten out of hand and now they don't even try to hide that it's a fake injury. I still think they need to sit out a certain # of plays or until the next change if possession. Funny that the video shown was the Bama guy against UT. Guess it's probably been the worst fake of the year.

Any teams playing the Vols are all the worst fakers

With all the rules and regulations in todays College and NFL....you need to be a Philadelphia lawyer to play. If you fart the wrong way your either penalized or ejected 🤣. Need to go back to the '50's when real men played the game and didn't go on the injury list for a sprained pinky!😭🐱

Then those big old linemen need to get into better shape - particularly now that they are NIL eligible.

Kentucky had several fake injuries today, and unfortunately several real ones.
All the fines will do is get people to pay for acting lessons for players. Dudes tonight for UK we're laying it on thick. A few were legit hurt and I hate that but others were just slowing things down. Fines do nothing. I justly? Out for series, however long that lasts. No exceptions

For the "safety" of the players. 👍🏻

Eventually all college and NFL games will be played like the Pro-Bowl.....Flag football 🤣 🐱

Fake injury? Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty, loss of possession if the faker was an offensive player, and ejection of one player of the opposing team's choice. Put an end to this crap immediately.

I seen somewhere that Ole miss has something like 20 players listed as questionable on the injury report. People speculate he may be doing this so when his players flop all over the field against UGA he can say hey he was banged up before the game you can't fine me.

If that the case the dude worrys way to much about getting injury timeouts and needs to learn to coach without it.

If they are on the injured list the SEC should sideline all of them. Why take the risk of permanently injuring a player that is already injured?

The American Football Coaches Association submitted a proposal that would require a player who goes down on the field and receives medical attention to sit out the rest of that possession. Currently, the player must go out for one play before re-entering.

The proposal has carveouts. A coach can use a charged timeout to get the player back on the field during the current possession. A player injured by a hit that results in a penalty would be exempt. Also, the one player on offense and one on defense with a green dot on his helmet, indicating he's allowed to receive radio communication from the sideline, can re-enter after one play.

So the player with the green dot will now be the ones faking the injury? Why would they be any different? If you fake it then you're done til the next possession.

Green dot is the QB and the defensive player calling the plays that are relayed via the helmet communication. Not likely one of them would be faking an injury, unless of course they play for Ole Miss 🙄!
