Face Mask?

I tried the face paint and don't like it. I bought a face mask and tried it out. Not bad!

Anyone hunt with a face mask?

All the time.
I use my turkey hunting mosquito net style mask during warm seaon, and I have a Sitka stretchy mask for the colder days.
Be sure and practice before hand, esp with the net style as there can be a lot of loose material.

I too use a turkey hunting face mask that hangs from my camo baseball style cap. I took scissors and made the eye holes bigger. I can stuff the face mask part up into the hat when I am walking in and out of the woods. Never again do I plan to wear paint.

I tried a face mask a few years ago and it was loose. Never could get a good anchor point. The one I bought at Academy is tighter and I can get a better anchor.

Thats why I use a tight one as well. I touch the fletching to my lip as a 3rd point of contact to comfirm my anchor.

I always liked the tight fitting ones by Primos. They are made out of that polyester feeling stuff like the compression workout clothes. But most of the time by this time of yr, I already had the beard in full gear.

I use a mesh face mask sometimes, but they aren't comfy and I like to often just wear my hat. Never have tried the face paint.

When it gets real cold I wear a warm face mask/hood that is pretty important to my well being in the cold

So I spent some time shooting with my mesh face mask and found a way to get it tighter to my face. Put on the mask and reach around to the back of your head and pull the mask snug to the front of your face. Next tie a simple knot with the slack material and that's it...tighter mask.

For me having the mask tight gives me a better anchor point.

Just ordered one of the Primos. I like this concept.

So I got the Primos face mask in and here's my problem with it. I do get a tighter anchor with my jawline but I can't feel the string touch my nose. With the 3/4 face mask when I get it tight I can get the jawline and nose anchor.

I guess I'm old school--I just don't get the face paint thing. I'm also not going to wear a mask when deer hunting. If the deer pick me off, it isn't because of my face--it is because I've screwed up somewhere else.

I use paint when it is really warm and a tight fitting mask when it cools down. Thinking about ordering a bamboo buff myself.

I used to paint or face mask it but I haven't in several years. I'm inclined to agree that if you get picked off it wasn't because of your pale face but likely it was movement detected.

I have a couple ladder stands that I would feel more comfortable if I was concealed as possible. 25 ft up in a climber I'm not as concerned.
