Extremely Stoked

I've talked about getting a smaller, lightweight rifle for months I have to hike a ways away from where I park. Well, I found an extremely cool rifle on Gunbroker, a CVA Scout V2 Takedown rifle in 243. It's Stainless with a fluted barrel and is suppressor ready.

It's used but in extremely good shape, virtually new. I paid a whopping $230 which included shipping. It comes with a one piece scope mount. Now I have to determine which scope to put on it and remain open to suggestions.

I have a few 243 combinations you can try

95 grain babies, a few others. Got some 100 partitions coming.... Got a bunch of 90 abonds to load if you want a few. Got some spare brass, primers. PM me you need anything. Need to get you going

Perfect woods rifle and federal fusions should work well. It'll be hard to match the accuracy of those loads.

I'm leaning towards the Leupold 2x7. My other rifles have Leupold but I've pondered Nikon as well

Hand loads with Dave help would be best, but I second the federal fusions. Affordable, accurate, and do a good job.

I'm leaning towards the Leupold 2x7. My other rifles have Leupold but I've pondered Nikon as well

I agree with this. One of the main points of owning such a rifle is it's light weight and compact size. To keep that you have to go small with the scope. I put this scope on my 7.62x39 CZ Carbine for that very same reason.

I found a Vortex Diamondback HP 2-8 on eBay for $177 delivered. Bought it and I must say, as a die hard Leupold guy, this is a very good scope and a steal at the price.
