Extreme measures?

Let's hear some of the extreme things you have done in pursuit of a gobbling turkey!

Picture pretty much sums it up hahah I've fell/ swam through creeks, ran up or feel down ridges, ran in full sprints over 2 miles in full gear just to name a few. There are VERY VERY few things I won't do to kill a bird

I have belly crawled on a henned up bird, other than that I don't think I've done anything too extreme, yet. I will regularly cover a lot of ground though. I ain't afraid to move

Couple hundred yard dashes followed by belly flops.

Belly crawling through pile after pile of cow poop.

Walking through or crawling through water to get to a bird.

Guess that's about it.

I have thought about this but always afraid I would end up attacked!

lol don't have a picture like that! ran a good mile for a gobbling bird. up and down ridges like crazy opening day last year I have a tracker on my phone no idea how accurate it is but I said we walked 8 miles that day. laid down in a creek because there was no tree or cover. nothing to crazy but I don't care what it is for deer or turkey but if I think itll work ill just about do it all as long as its within the law of course.

Crossed a creek a couple years ago that had turned into a raging torrent, lucky I didn't get killed. Didn't kill the bird either, which was total BS :)

I swam the elk river once.I left my vest on the bank. All I could do to keep my gun and head above water. I Killed the turkey but I almost got hypothermia. Never again :eek:

Hopefully it wasn't on public land! ;) I have pushed one along on my belly once or twice but man that is EXTREME. Now that's what I call a true stalker

I crawled 400 yards on my belly across a clearcut with nothing between me and him but a few piles of dirt. Took 3 hours and I was spent.

Nothing super extreme. Walking waaaay out of the way to get around the turkey due to flat ground. Belly crawled a bunch of times.

I have waded waist deep in swift water a few times to access property, to no avail.

I have also found myself several times in situations where I was flat on the ground on the side of ridges/hills where I had to use saplings, etc., to climb and keep from falling. I vowed the last time that it would be the last time. I guess getting older makes one wiser :) !

Yes it did, I guess elk isn't the only wild animal that don't know how many legs a horse has!
