Exciting morning sa far!

As I'm walking in to my stand this morning I was thinking about how I've never bumped a deer ( that I know of anyways ), as i turn onto the trail my stand is on i spot 2 sets of eyes watching me 20 yds away at my tr. I climb all they way up and before I kill my head lamp i glance one more time, they're still there. I think dumb deer! This was at 630 . At 700,fifteen minutes before shooting light they walk away.... guess I'm the dummy. At 830 I spot another deer in some really thick stuff, all i can see is the back moving. All of the sudden I hear running behind me, I look and its a turkey. I drew but darn thing never gave me a shot. Oh well, plenty of day left still. Good luck to everyone else out this morning.

My trail cam says that the deer have been using this area til around noon, so I will hang out for a while longer before I investigate some scrapes and rubs I passed on the way in

Well my original post was all the excitement I am allowed to have for the day ( have to go to my mother-in-law's b-day party). But I did pull the card from my camera ( which isn't working right) to find that a 9 pointer that I have been watching for some time came in last night at 6:15. All my other pictures have been past shooting light. I will try to sneak in tomorrow for an afternoon hunt before work.
