I just bought a Marlin 1895 in .450 Marlin. Gun was brand new. Put some Talley rings and bases on it and lapped the rings. Put a Leupold on and noticed the scope was sitting on the gun chocolate chip cookie-eyed. Come to find out the holes that were drilled and tapped in the gun weren't straight. $60 pair of rings may be ruined because they were lapped wrong. Gonna have to call Marlin today and see what they are going to do. Is this something they can fix or are they gonna have to give me a new gun? Anyway, I can't win for losing! :)
