I think I simmered it too long, I could only recover small fragments of the nose. But I'll continue with the mount anyway. Got some salon grade peroxide to paint on the skull.

yep cooked to long . I spend less time cooking and lots of time picking bits and pieces rinse and repeat

I was gone all afternoon while it simmered, getting my bow worked on by a member here, I guess that was a mistake. the rack still looks fine though and it will still make a good mount. next one will look better.
