so I am planning on doing about 4 heads from previous years. Has anyone ever done any type of paint on their skull? I have seen some metallic/bronze that look very good. kinda like a swirl pattern. I have watch the DIY video with spray paint and I think they look cheap. I am doing a couple of very nice deer in the 125 and 135 inch range as well as a 110 and small 7 point so I would like them to look good and not like a redneck and a can of spray paint....

No paint for me. I'm not sure, but if the skulls are not well degreased if the paint will "take and hold" or not.

I've seen some of the painted ones. They look nice, but man I sure do like just a super bright white skull and bone lol.
