estrus?

Hey guys I'm pretty new to hunting and was wondering when you guys and gals start to use estrus in middle tennessee. I saw a very large buck this Tuesday and I don't quite have the skills to hunt him down yet so I was hoping I could bring him to me.

Wait a few more weeks and let a hot doe bring him to you, I have very little faith in using scents to lure bucks in, it's more of a tv crazed gimmick in my opinion.

Good advice, save your money and try to kill him totally unsuspecting!

Having used estrus and lures alot during my younger life I came to the conclusion that you might trick a young buck but you are not going to trick a big buck.

You will be much better off killing a buck or doe and using the glands from them. Hang them from trees at about waist height. I put mine in freezer bags and freeze them.
