Equalizer Deer Stands

They are very nice!! They are great because they can be leveled (safely)on uneven trees, unlike the summit or API climbing stands.

The newer Old Man stands have that capability but will only adjust for 5". I think these stands will adjust for 9". I like everything except the 27 pound weight.

My Google search indicates the company apparently went out of business and wasn't answering phone calls.

I have one and love it, I think the original owner / manufacturer passed away and I am not sure if anyone kept the business running.

Buddy has one and they seem to be good stands and the leveling feature is GREAT. Biggest downfall I see is the heavy weight.
Ol Man makes a great stand so this new feature on them will likely be the way to go!

Third hand archery makes stabilizer straps that can be used on other stand like summit. Seems to work well and gets solid reviews from guys on Archerytalk.
Different product. The stabilizers were talking about will actually level your stand from front to back once your in position in the tree, not make it more stable. These stands can be adjusted while on the tree to fit different diameter tree trunks, hence leveling the stand at hunting elevation without unhooking anything.

Third hand makes solid products and stands behind them. Probably won't get any better customer service if you do have any trouble out of his products.

I got ya winchester. Sorry wasn't trying to hijack the tread just wanted to offer another solution if possible.
No hijack at all just didn't want you to think that was what these stands were about. Actually good to know where to get the stabilizer straps.

I've climbed many a tree on a frosty morning where my pre-hung stand was covered in a film of ice. When the tree happened to be quite a bit bigger at the base than where I would end up sitting it had to be hung at such an angle that it was actually hard getting into it because I'd keep sliding on the stand towards the tree. A system like this would eliminate this problem. It would also eliminate having to pre-climb a tree just to make sure you had the right angle on the tree.

Roost---What's your buddy want for his?
