You would save money in the long wrong by keeping it. If you plan on trying again Just saying. 🤔 Also, Could you not just take it back possibly? I'm sure there would be some type of return fee but your already losing 4k on this deal.

You might consider yanking the diamond out and selling separately or hang onto the diamond. $5k is allot of money for a young person starting out.

Young folks would be better off putting money on a house

The problem is diamonds drop exponentially in value the moment you purchase them. They are worse than cars. If you can find a store willing to buy it, I doubt you would get more than about 30% of what you paid. There are stores around Nashville who will sell it on consignment.
