enfield question

I have an old enfield 1917 in 30-06. The rifle belonged to my great aunts husband. It was sporterized and has beautiful engravings in the stock and barrel. We have never shot it and it was missing the floor plate for the magazine. I ordered both the floorplate and spring but I am not sure what holds the fllor plate on at the end beside the trigger guard. If anyone knows or can upload an upclose picture of one it would be appreciated.

There should be a small elongated hole with a straight narrow metal piece in the middle of it just forward of the triggergard. The floorplate goes down into this flush with the bottom metal and then slides forward to lock in place. It's intended to be opened with a FMJ bullet tip but a small Phillips screwdriver point or an Allen wrench tip will do just fine if you're careful not to scratch anything. To open just push down on the tab in the slot and slide the floorplate to the rear and it will pop open under the pressure of the magazine spring.
