A friend and I are looking to book an elk hunt and would like to get some recommended outfitters to talk with. Neither of us have elk hunted before and were primarily interested in a high success rate rifle hunt, but wouldn't oppose an archery or MZ hunt. Any suggestions are welcomed.

What state? How much do you want to spend? How soon do you want to go? Some states take years to draw a tag in.

I was looking at Montana, Idaho or Colorado. NM seemmed to be a little more costly even though the quality looks better. Thanks for the link to Milligan. The more I read on Wyoming and Montana, it sounds like the wolves have reduced the numbers in some areas. There are a lot of outfitters advertising these areas but I would rather deal with a recommendation. Thanks guys!

I have a friend that uses Foster Butt (madison taxid). Hunts I believe are in the Chama area, beautiful country.
