Going to try out new bows
Chill X and Elite Energy 35, they have both in stock I can shoot
trying them next week

I don't want a bow shorter than 34"
Anyone own either of these.
Pros?
Cons?

Thanks

I've got an Energy 35 and I really like it. I love the draw cycle and shoots where I aim. I am not a speed freak but speed seems good for the arrows I shoot. I got the bow with custom strings from Energy Wave in Hermitage Tn. I have the QAD rest, an Axcel 5 pin sight and a BStinger stabilizer. Bow and Stabilizer in Max-1 camo. It looks really good in a tree.

I shot Mathews for years......until I shot an E35. The Chill X is one of the best bows Mathews has put out in years, but for me the E35 felt better and shot better. The E35 has a smoother and more even draw cycle than the X, with no valleys or large humps to deal with—it's just a smooth constant pull. A 70# pull feels like a 60# pull. The E-series is also better balanced than the X that has the typical top-heavy Mathews feel. The back wall of the E-series is just amazing, even compared to the X with the Rock mods. As far as speed, the E-series is comparable to the X. The shot cycle for me was slightly better with the Elite—it was completely dead in my hands and acted like it was counter-balanced. The only thing I didn't like about the Elites was the grip. It is completely different from what I was used to, but once I made a few adjustments and got comfortable with it I question how I ever shot that huge grip of the Mathews. For the first time in 30+ years of archery, I have finally found a bow that gives me 100% of what I've wanted—I own both the E32 and the E35 and they are actually fun to shoot, like a toy almost...lol.

If you do get an Elite, get a Sims Hyperglide and get rid of that junk cable slide they have that will eat your cables up—that is the only weak link of the Elites.

Don't know where you are looking but Steve at Herndons Archery, Herndon Ky. carries both Elite and Mathews. I love my Elite 35. Everything Hoss said. It may be the best hunting bow I've ever owned.

Not wanted to bash. But look at the Mathews strings real close. They are not made very well.
Yes replace the slide on the 35.

I may look into Elite this year I like what I have saw and read from you fellers

Sent from my iPhone that I ain't smart enough to use with tapatalker

Don't know where your located but the Harvest Archery Pro Shop in Dayton had a few e35s from last year he was willing to make a deal on.

I soot both before I came home with the Mathews Chill X. But Mathews has come out with a couple of new bows since. The HTR and the Wake. I have not shoot or seen the Wake yet.
