Elite Energy VS Mathews NO CAM

Well in all honesty it was NO CONTEST. The archery shop guy at Cypress Creek Outdoors in Dyersburg let me shoot them back to back......I drew both bows back slow with my eyes closed open my eyes and settle on target....close my eyes and slowly released.........did this several times....then closed my eyes and asked shop guy to hand me a bow randomly and I draw it and let down then the other and make my selection on the better one.....the ELITE energy 35.....it was smoother and the transition to the break over outmatched the NO CAM considerably.....the ELITE felt better in my hand the NO CAM felt like a brick......

The Shot

The Elite also took the cake on this with less handshake and had,if anyone knows what I mean, that rubber band soft shock almost spongy.....
The NO CAM had more shock and the shot was like THUNK....

AND of course the most important (sarcasm) the Elite is faster!

Love my Energy 32... Shot all the new bows for 2015 and there was no comparison. The Elite was just what I was looking for.

After shooting my first Elite (E35) a couple of years ago, I felt the same way and sold both my Mathews bows. I now own and E32 and the Elite Victory—just sold my E35. They are the best all-around bow, currently, that I have ever shot!

Thx for the review! In all seriousness though, why the sarcasm with speed? I like the new high speeds because it allows for a heavier arrow to fling at "normal" speeds. Im not into all the archery lingo and what not so thats why I ask.

because the bow market has been chasing speed and marketing the concept....im more of a feel guy....but if speed comes with it great!!!

Gotcha. Basically they are marketing speed at all cost and people are buying in that speed is the most important thing.

Couple questions. Was both the exact same specs? Set to same draw weight, draw length, let off? Second those are 2 really different bows ..35ata compared to 32 ata. Why would you not compare the e35 to the ChillX ? E32 to HTR? Those are much closer bows to compare..

Specs were the same and those were the only bows I had time for so head to head I'd I was buying one it would be the elite......honestly I have 3 years left on my bow at least but was curious how the new bows compared to my 2010 model bow

Generally, faster bows can be harder to tune and not as forgiving.
Mathews is marketing their No Cam that while not being as fast, they are very easy to shoot.
I have yet to try one, but want to. Soon.

I've shot both bows blind bale, set-up to my DL and DW, and believe that the HTR is smoother on the draw and at the shot. But not enough for me to pay the extra $$$ on the deal that I was presented. I ended up trading for the Energy 35, and its a shooter. ATA is a little longer, and yes it has a little more speed to it, and is why I went with it over the HTR, as I have a 26.5" DL. Both bows would be a great buy for those looking for a smooth shooting bow. I would love to have the HTR too but momma and the $$$ aren't letting me at this point.
