electronic calls?

Looking for a decent call for under 200$ what do some of you hardcore predator hunters recommend? I usually do the fawn distress but looking for something different

i have all the ecallers and prefer open reed mouth calls. i will be testing a few out this yr and will post the reviews. hard to beat a fox pro. the spitfire can be had for under 200.00. almost everyone has out a fox pro copy now.

FoxPro has some that will go with some of their calls and can be operated remotely along with the call.

Can you order from Natchez? Most people in Tennessee can't since they wholesale in the state. I ordered mine from them and it was $199. I just got the 2014 catalog and it's now $209.

You can order a FoxPro from FoxPro and get it costummized with the calls you want for the same price you would pay at any of the stores that sell them. Pulse it is easy to go on line to there site and add more calls to one.

I am trying to decide on a call myself, leaning towards the Foxpro. Having said that, the only two yotes I have ever killed, I killed this year calling them in by mouth, one without a call at all, the other with a turkey diaphragm call while turkey hunting. I had just watched him a chase a deer across the field I was watching and thought what the hell and called him right in.

foxpro also has referbs for less and comes with warranty.they told me even if the warranty HAD RAN OUT UNLESS IT WAS CAUSED BY YOU 95%OF THE TIME THEY WOULD FIX IT.

Who sells 'cold resistant' batteries?
Back from two days (on&off) yote hunting 4 sets and have to keep changing AA batteries out for warm ones in this COLD and WIND. I have to wrap my Foxpro Wildfire II in a towel but only lasts a hour or so and dies. I'm sure they make some 'cold weather batteries' somewhere. Mine are Eveready rechargables, both lithium and Ni-H.
We may not see this type weather again for a while, but would like to NOT have to trapse to the Ecaller and break cover so often.

Buy or make an external battery pack that you can put in an old glove with a hand warmer or two.

I don't know what kind of rechargeable batteries I have got them from FoxPro they stay up really good.

While I agree with you 100%, My primary goal is to substantially reduce the population around me at this point. Maybe after it gets old to me, Ill get more to calling with my own sounds.

The calling is not a big deal for me, it is getting ride of a invader.

Well, I sucked it up and bought the Alpha Dog. My plan is to learn effective calls and then switch over to mouth calls.

You did good.

Buy a battery tester. I found out that the three batteries in the remote need to be equal to get the best range. I was working my caller 100 yards away easy then later it would only work under 50 yard range. I found out one battery was lower than the other two so I replaced them and checked them all first I was back setting it out to 100 yards without any problems.

By the way, there is enough room where the battery pack goes for a handwarmer if you need one to help the batteries from going down.
