Looks like it went through his left front foot. Wonder if he was rubbing that tree:)
 
My dad or rather niece and nephew lost two horses just couple months ago by what looks like happened to this feller....standing under a tree and hit by lightening. They were some tore up kids for a while.
 
Holy smokes, just like I like it medium rare...but seriously that's nuts! Never seen anything like that before.

So it is possible to smoke one... :) After all the dislike and rough talk over using the word smoked... The proof is here that it can obviously be done!
 
Used to work at a game farm. Watched lightening hit a tree with 4-5 red deer under it. One literally jumped 18 feet in the air and slammed back to earth dead as a door nail.
 
Oh man! Now you probably have guys looking up how to electrify a sign post rub! lol

When I was a kid we lost 6-8 cows that were huddled under a tree when it got struck by lightning. Unfortunately one was the beloved giant bull that thought he was a teddy bear.
