Thinking about trying an electric fence around my garden this year. The deer wreck my garden almost every year. I have tried hair, soap, pie pans, and everything else I can think of. Any advice on putting the fence around it?

That's what we have to do with ours. It works great for keeping them out. We have 2 gardens- I buried a power wire in conduit to one and we use a solar charger on the other.
We just use 2 strands, one at about 36" the lower one about 18".

That's what I was thinking about doing. One strand for the jumpers and one for the crawlers.

If you have enough room, a double fence will work great, they won't jump the first one if the other is within a few feet of the inner fence.

This guy used electric fence, but I have used just twine before and it works.

I had seen some stuff about the 3D fencing. I wasn't sure if it really worked. I have plenty of room for it.

i use it with the liquid deer fence spray and wrag strips tied on the strands, but if i forget to spray they will tear it up.

going electric this year and killing the deer off in the winter. gonna kill every deer i see for a couple of miles around my place.

Cheap and easy, and it worked for me when I had a garden..

It'll talk too you when the wind blows..👍

Makes a Strange buzzing sound and the reflection in the sun appears like voltage shooting thru the tape.

reckon how many joules or whatever is needed for deer and how i could fet a cheap 120v unit feed to about 70 yards from from my garage. run it theough direct burial cable?

Only problem with electric fence is the ground.. When it's dry the ground of the charger will not connect with the feet on a deer. When it's wet or moist no problem.
