Late season spot that grandsons like to hunt. About 5 acre bedding area on top of ridge that was logged 20 years ago & allowed to just grow. Opening about 1/8 acre that I usually mow once a year & allow native stuff to grow. Was late getting it mowed due to my WY trip so decided to try something a little different.
Bought a $9.00 bag of FEED Wheat & broadcast it prior to mowing on Nov 1. That's it, all I did was throw & mow, but did get 1" of rain that night. Pretty happy with it. Deer are hitting it at all hours of day. Maybe the boys will kill a good buck or two off of in a few weeks.
