Checking cams after morning hunt and found a doe floating in pond on my Virginia farm. Caught her last hours on camera. She stayed bedded most of the day before going in the water one last time.

Me and a friend found a doe.Standing in the creek we thought either EHD or her back legs were stuck on something.we were not that far away from it.It never tried to run it looked a little weak.wasnt sure if coyotes were chasing it cause it was still dark when we found her standing there.well called game warden didnt get an answer.so we went hunting about hour and a half came back she was gone.she wasnt floating anywhere.if she died she couldnt have floated past the log jam in the creek.I dont know what to think about it.

Sux, my son actually killed a big doe last Thurs that had EHD, she had nasty sores all around and in her mouth, hooves were peeling off, sad sight to say the least!

When such an instant happens what can you do with it after figuring it out? Anything good to keep off the deer?

Man that's sad hate to see this does anyone know if it's still hitting the Cumberland plateau or is anyone still finding deer with the disease?
