Anyone familiar with these rifles? The factory trigger has a trigger pull that is atrocious. It's probably at least 3 lb pull and 1/4" long or longer. Wondering if a Timney trigger would make this rifle 'dangerous' due to the amount of pressure and slap it takes to close the bolt on the Mauser action.

Is it original or has it been altered in any way? I would think that a Timney would be ok. I'm sure triggers are made, or once was. It's Eddystone by the way. They can be valuable if original and unaltered.

Unfortunately, it has been sporterized, which really devalues the rifle. But, I can get it at a sweet price. Just want to find out if the trigger mechanism can be replaced safely. I was able to find this (link below). Still researching for more.
