It's really smokey here in Knoxville, and I know some areas I hunt are even worse. A lease I'm on in campbell county was terrible last weekend too. I'm wondering what you guys think might be going through deer's heads about all this smoke. Do you think they are smart enough to go down the mountains into valleys to get as far away from the smoke as possible? Or do you think they continue on with their lives as normal? At sunrise on the ML opener I couldn't see 25 yds because of the smoke, but managed to smoke a doe on a oak bench pretty close to the top of a ridge. That was only a few days after the fires started, but now that things have been smokey for this long, I'm thinking I might need a new strategy. Any advice or what are you guys in the smokey area seeing?
