Between hwy 411 and the foot of the mountains there are knobs. I MO it's harder hunting than the mountains. The knobs are almost vertical and you about need repelling gear to maneuver on it and would be extremely hard to bow hunt it. You earned that one congrats.

If you do bow shoot a deer in the "Knobs" you'll want to wait a looooooooooong time before going after it. If it gets off the knob and its straight down, you're in for a long day. Don't ask me how I know.....

I'm new to both TNDEER and east Tennessee and will be hunting on and around the knobs east of 411. My past experience is hunting flat land, so knowing where to start on and around these knobs is somewhat confusing. I have essentially no time for scouting this year due to work commitments and will have limited hunt time as well. I would like to take an initial approach that would improve my limited hunting opportunities somewhat without starting from scratch. I would appreciate any pointers about where one would typically set up to hunt on/around knobs. Any advice would be well received and greatly appreciated.
