Hey guys...So, my buddy and I recently built a couple of homemade e-callers with the intention of doing some crow hunting. We were wondering if anyone within an hour of Knoxville might allow us to come and try a couple of sets on private property. We've tried Forks of the River, which was semi-successful but thwarted by weekend hiking warriors. We'll certainly honor any requests to stay as far from livestock and houses as necessary. We're hoping requests here will be more productive than cold-requesting permission from property owners as we search for large bird populations. Thanks in advance.

Those homebrew callers are awesome! I built one a couple years ago. I downloaded sounds for predator hunting as well. Good luck findind some land to hunt. I have pretty good luck getting the crows to come in practically everywhere I hunt them.

That's awesome backstraps! We've had some luck calling them in, but our best set resulted in being buzzed by a remote controlled airplane (much to our AND the crows' great annoyance). I suspect the guy just wondered what all the racket was and was trying to mess with the birds.

We actually figured anyone with a nut/berry/melon patch or serious gardeners would be glad to hear from us, but no luck yet. However, we are determined!!

Point me in the direction of a pecan orchard and I'll try my damndest. Season's closed during the nesting season from the end of this month until June, so we're trying to get it in gear...only 9 huntable days left.

My front yard. too bad its in a subdivision. I killed 30+ squirrels outof them this past fall. No crows. They are smart. They grab and fly.

If there is any Tva land around with water go there. They like to scavenge around lakes for dead fish.My best shoots have been on a lake side mud flat.
