Haven't seen a deer while hunting yet but only been 4 times. Nothing has changed on my cams tho, same 10pt visiting the trophy rock at midnight maybe 2 days a week. And the lil ones are still with the mommas. I'm in between gray and fall branch in Washington co.

Hunting is good so far with deer pounding the overly abundant acorns. I predict a good strong rut this yr.
Killed a buck in Roane Co. last sat, His tarsals had a strong smell but neck wasn't puffed up much...
Two friends killed mature deer this past week in Rhea County both said they were not chasing but trailing doe.

The place I hunt is really thick but there are no oak trees. Prob why I haven't seen any deer but they usually just pass thru that property 1 or 2 times a week. Never any scrapes or beds on this place either.
Does are moving well it seems, bucks not so much. But I've not been in the woods since last weekend either. It could start escalating anytime now I believe. SE Tn btw.

One of my spots is in the Bluff City/Piney Flats area. Like I said, haven't seen much activity yet. Couple more weeks and it should be a different story.
