Guys, what are you seeing in east tn? I went out Saturday in Hamilton County and scored a doe. What was more importnant is that I am seeing fresh sign. Saw 3-4 new rubs that were not there the weekend before. I thought it was a little late for a second rut but then again havent seen much chasing at all this year. Any ideas what is going on?

No acorns any browse picked clean from 5' off the ground down no where near the rut activity that we usually see. But I didn't get to hunt until thanksgiving week also the trail can pics seem to be almost nonexistent. My personal experience this year

It's been a heck of a year. Normally there will be sparse Deer sightings, this year for some reason they were everywhere. For the most part they were smaller Does and young Bucks. We were hit hard in 2010 with EHD, Blue Tongue whatever you want to call it, so I guess the population is bouncing back.

I have seen more small bucks than does on our farm as of late. Im waiitng on a nice doe to step out but it seems they do not want to show there pretty selves. Ive seen some new fresh rubs as well. They have been small in diameter though.

Killed a doe on Christmas day, went back to same place on Friday and could have killed a dozen more. Going to try and get one more Wednesday. The deer movement here in Jefferson county was good during bow season, but then just died till about two weeks ago. Haven't seen a good buck since bow season.

Mid day movement is what I am seeing in Hamilton and Rhea. 9-3 seems to be prime time right now. I am seeing more deer now than any other time this year but all at mid day.

5:00 to dark is when we have been seeing them.

Plenty of does and small ones going to the fields and corn fields to feed here in Sullivan County. Haven't seen a buck since Nov. 20th when my wife shot a five pointer with her muzzleloader. Have seen a few new rubs. Going to Hawkins County Sat. morning to try and take a doe or two. Strange year for us.
