Watch it!

I was only a casual Nascar fan in the late 90s, but I always rooted for anybody but Earnhardt. I especially like when Gordon came along and stole some of his thunder.

I do remember seeing the wreck, and then finding out at church service that he had passed away.

Anyway, it's a four part series that is one of the best documentaries I've seen.

Even if you weren't/aren't a Nascar fan, it's very well done. The family dynamics between he and his kids are at the center.

I didn't know that either. He was sent and she went because she missed him and wanted to take care of him. You can tell they're all each other had at times and are super close.
JRs podcast has a lot of interesting stories on it especially when he has some of the old school drivers/owners/crew members/officials and others associated with the sport. He is as somewhat of a historian about the sport. I didn't care for him a lot when he drove but the podcast shows who he truly is. I saw a comment that nascar is so bad they had to get him to do advertising and he don't even drive anymore. I would say he does as much or more for the sport now than when he drove. Also he is a car owner as well.
His podcast is on Dirty Mo Media, Dale.Jr Download.

So I was never much of a NASCAR fan, only rarely checking in on a race or seeing highlights, and that only in 90's to early 2000's. But this was a great documentary to watch! Very much enjoyed the stories and learning a bit about Earnhardt and his family, and more about NASCAR…when it was actually worth watching.
