I'm not claiming to be a proponent, especially for a 2 day hunt, but according to the WMA Mgr of a fine WMA near me, not enough does are being taken and the deer are overpopulated. He says that most hunters only show up to kill a nice buck (horn hunting), so he will suggest that they go to earn a buck next season.
I personally wish that they would try something a bit different, but he claims that the numbers are way too high and he cannot keep a share cropper due to the overbrowsing of the deer, which are even eating corn stalks. Before I post my opinions, what do y'all think is the answer to this issue?
